Customization is a perfect fit for Personal Styling. How does the process differ from shopping for clients off the rack?
There are a few things that my custom clients are most concerned with. Since most of them are not typically in the “fashion” world they are concerned with selecting design details and colors that are on trend with current fashion trends. They are also usually overwhelmed with the amount of options that are presented to them and have a hard time visualizing what the garment will look like with each element that they selected. Several of my clients actually only select the fabric and defer to me for all other design detail decisions. I also help them make decisions by creating style boards as well as working with companies that utilize real time virtual design builders so they can see each element as we select it, as opposed to some custom companies that only have selections from very basic line drawings.
